need a good laugh??

I've often thought of my life as entertaining with moments where I ask myself {is this real?} and {you've got to be kidding me!!!} Living with three puppies has only increased the amount of times these moments occur... And since I can't kick them to the curb (though I'd be lying if I said there haven't been times the thought has crossed my mind!), I'll entertain y'all with the stories and hopefully provide a good laugh at my expense!

I don't know if it is because {Carlos & Vida} were abandoned and had to make-do with what they found as toys, but interesting objects find their way into our home, despite having a room full of toys! Numerous times, they've come galloping in the back door with a {sprinkler head} hanging out the side of their mouths. 1) We do not have a sprinkler system, nor do we have lone sprinkler heads. This leads me to believe that these sprinkler heads were {treasures} left behind by previous owners. Great!

Then there are the occasional windy days, where trash seems to collect in our backyard. I know what you're thinking... {Lucky us, right!?} On these glorious days, {Carlos and Vida} will bring anything from potato chip bags to dirty tissues into the house...and don't think {Milly} is a perfect angel.  She'll find {trash treasures} too - cereal boxes and butter wrappers :-) we love life around here! (please read previous sentence with a hint of sarcasm)

The real treasure I found inside the house was brought in last night by {the one, the only...Carlos} and this is what led me to write...because honestly, with what you're about to read, the only thing to do is laugh.

I had been playing phone-tag with one of my best friends {Taylor} to catch up on life and fill her in our the {momentous event} that happened this past weekend. Finally we've found each other at a free moment to talk, and mid conversation, Carlos comes {racing} through the back door and plops down on the couch with his newest found treasure... a mound of petrified poop. A MOUND OF PETRIFIED POOP!!!!! ON THE COUCH!!!! My reaction was anything but calm, and all I wanted to do was get the poop out of my house! So, my impulse reaction... grab the poop with my BARE HAND, run to the back door and toss it, {all while on the phone with Taylor, who by the way, cannot stop laughing}. I immediately scrubbed my hands with scalding hot water and soap, but still...I picked up dog poop with my bare hand. WHO DOES THAT!?!???? Is this {really} my life? Why yes, yes it is :-) Lessons to learn here: 1) poop is not a toy, Carlos, and 2) in state of panic when dealing with poop on your couch, it's important to remember the paper towel.

{don't let that cute face fool ya!}
Happy Tuesday from Fort Worth, TX!
